Trent's Tracks 2

Hello, and welcome to the second in my musical recommendations series known as Trent’s Tracks. Hope you enjoy! Today, I’m recommending a song from an absolutely fantastic up and coming artist. To be honest, I am surprised that such a talented person is not that famous yet, but mark my words when I say that she definitely will be. Anyway, I fell in love with this song the first time I ever heard it, and have played it over and over again ever since. Another song you will be singing all day, and I have no words to describe just how brilliant this song and this lady are. I give you, the incredibly talented, Betty Who with her song Heartbreak Dream. Betty Who Heartbreak Dream https://open.spotify.com/track/5R1X8KauUEEf1ahDNH1ZGK And there you have it. Sorry for the absence over the last few weeks but I have now moved out to start my six months in France and everything has just been hectic. I am going to try and get back on track again no...

Trent's Tracks 1

Welcome along to the first in my new series, Trent’s Tracks. Following on from the success of the Blogmas music countdown, I have made the decision to turn it into a new weekly feature on this page. Therefore, from now on, each week I’m going to be recommending a song that I really like. It could be old or new, popular or obscure, and it could be from any genre or style of music. I aim for the list to be reflective of my wide and varied music taste which I have decided to share with you. So, enough delaying, it’s time to get on with it. Enjoy! The first track to go onto the list comes from a very talented up and coming young singer who is also an actor and YouTuber. Having released his EPs “TRXYE” and “Wild” in the last few years, his music career seems to be going from strength to strength, as is showcased by the quality of his first album “Blue Neighbourhood” which was released at the end of 2015. I have a feeling that this will not be the only time he features in this seri...

2016 is here!

Image
First of all, happy new year to you all! I was supposed to post right up until the end of December, but I didn’t. I’m sorry, but I’m back now, and ready to kick off 2016! And now we’ve finally entered the New Year, I wanted to discuss some changes I am making to this page and talk about what I want Stay Blogitive to become in the year ahead. SCHEDULE CHANGES I have decided to stick with doing at least two posts a week. The reason I say “at least” is because I am going to be posting on any combination of Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sometimes, I will try and put up a post on all three days each week, but most of the time it will only be two. I’ll explain more about the content of these posts below. LIFE UPDATES I mentioned at the end of last year that the format of my life update posts would be changing this year, and now I’m going to explain exactly how they’re going to be different from now on. Previously, they were divided into sections named “blog”, “placement”...

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Day is tomorrow! It’s Christmas Eve, which means that in just a few hours, all of the months of build-up and preparation will come to fruition. I am sure you are all as excited as I am, and cannot wait to open your presents in the morning. As a child, I used to get so worked up on Christmas Eve. I would be really happy and excited to see what Santa had given me. For weeks, it would build up in my mind, and then ultimately on Christmas Day I would run into the living room and dive on my pile of presents, opening them eagerly. Those good times really are the things you remember about your childhood as you get older, and all of the happy Christmases stay with you forever. Nowadays, Christmas is more about being around people and making valuable memories rather than the gifts I get. I have said previously how much I value the people in my life, and that is never more apparent than at Christmas. As I have got older, I have begun to appreciate the sentimental things ra...

Desserts!

After you’ve got through you main meal on Christmas day, it doesn’t matter how full you are, there is always room for you to have a dessert. There are quite few options for what you can have, and I’m going to be talking about some of those today. CHRISTMAS PUDDING Perhaps the most traditional and most festive of all the choices on this list, Christmas pudding. I am always surprised when people tell me they don’t like it, because I think it is absolutely delicious. YULE LOG As I explained in a previous post, I am someone who absolutely ADORES chocolate. Therefore, whenever I get the chance to eat it, I do so! A chocolate log is the best excuse to eat it as part of a Christmas meal. Cake, chocolate, and icing sugar in one dish! Absolutely divine! MINCE PIES I have been informed that mince pies are very much a British tradition, and it is difficult to find them anywhere else in the world. By the way, this doesn’t mean that contain beef or lamb mince, just in case ...
