Trent's Tracks September 2nd

Hello everyone.

After a month away, Trent’s Tracks is back, and I am kicking off September with an absolute cracker of a song.

Over the years, a lot of songs sung in other languages have become huge hits around the world, even if the meaning of the lyrics is unknown. We sing along without speaking the language, simply loving the song for what it is.

I do not know how many songs with Romanian lyrics have had success internationally, but this is by far the most recognisable and well-loved. Since its release in 2004, this song has been sampled by other artists like Rihanna, and has sparked a great many viral dance videos. Cheesy though it may be, it is a truly memorable tune, and no matter who you are, you will recognise this song as soon as you hear that iconic first line.

Here you are then, this is Moldovan pop group O Zone, with their hit Dragostea din tei, also known as Numa Numa.

What do you think of this song? As always, I will leave the links to all of my social media in the table below for you to follow and get in touch if you want to share your thoughts, or you can also leave a comment on this post if you’d like to.

Until next time, keep smiling, keep active, and above all else, keep believing!
