Trent's Tracks 27.01.17

Hello again everyone, and welcome to this week’s Trent’s Tracks. For this week’s song, I have chosen to add one of the hottest tracks of the moment to the playlist. After more than a year away, Ed Sheeran has come back with two incredible new songs from his upcoming new album Divide set for release in March. I have been listening to them both nonstop since he dropped them a few weeks ago (as I’m sure you all have), but this is my favourite of the two. Here is Ed’s ode to his home county of Suffolk, Castle On The Hill. I have more posts going up next week, so keep an eye out for when those go up. Until then though,

Personal Goals for 2017

Hello again to you all. A few posts ago, I wrote about some of my blogging goals for this year. Today I’m going to do carry on the goals for 2017 theme, by going through some of the personal goals I want to achieve in the next 12 months. GRADUATE FROM UNIVERSITY One of the biggest things that is going to happen to me in 2017 is my graduation from university. This is a massive stage in my life, and there is still a lot of hard work to do between now and July to get to that point. I will go into more detail about this in the next part of my End of an Era series, which is coming up on 30 th January. DEVELOP MY CREATIVE WRITING I would love to work more on my creative writing this year. Writing is one of my BIGGEST passions. Creative writing forms a huge part of this passion, and I would very much love to have a career as a writer in the future. I absolutely love coming up with ideas and plots for stories, then planning them, and ultimately writing them if I can

Hello again everyone, happy Friday and welcome to this week’s Trent’s Tracks! In many ways, this week’s artist was a pioneer, as one of the earliest winners of the “new generation” of talent shows. She won back in 2001, at a time when the modern talent show was just getting started, and was nowhere near as popular as it has become in the years since. In spite of this, she has gone on to have an international career, and one of the longest lasting of any talent show winner. I found it very difficult to choose which of her songs I was going to add to the list, because they are all amazing in truth. In the end, however, one track from back in 2004 kept jumping out at me. Here you go then everyone, here is the remarkable Breakaway , by the equally remarkable Kelly Clarkson. Blogging Goals for 2017

Hello again everyone, and welcome to today’s post, all about my blogging goals for 2017. 10,000 views This is one of my biggest goals for this year. Just a short time ago, this seemed a LONG way off and I thought that if it ever did happen, it would be years down the line. But, as this page approaches its second birthday, 10,000 views is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. At the time of writing, it is at 7,766 which means we have a little more than 2,200 to go, and I have now started to accept that this goal is within sight. 250 posts I fully intend to post more than ever this year and will reach my 250 th post at some time in 2017. (This is my 173 rd ) Experiment with flat lay photography My photos and the images I use for my posts have, I must admit, not been of the best quality and I need to try and improve this side of my posts. Something I have learnt about recently is the use of what’s known as flat lay photography, and am going to experime

Hello again all. Welcome to the first Trent’s Tracks of the year. Yes, it’s back and there are plenty of amazing tunes which will be added to this list over the next year for you to look forward to! To kick off, I have one of the 1990s’ most iconic movie songs. I have to admit that when coming up with the songs for Through the Decades, I forgot how much I loved this song and didn’t include it on the list! It was only after I had finished the series that it occurred to me that this song deserved a place on that list but it was too late to add it. Fortunately, I am going to add it to the regular Trent’s Tracks list right now so that I get to share my love of this iconic tune with you all. From the movie Armageddon, this is Aerosmith, with I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing. FUN FACT: Steve Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, is the father of Liv Tyler, who stars in the film. There is even a touching moment in the music video when they replace Bruce Willis (her father in the m

My 2017!

Hello everyone, and welcome to 2017! Today I’m going to be reflecting on the “My 2016” project and looking ahead to “My 2017”. If you have been following this blog for a while now, you will know about the project I have done over the last two years. Two years ago, it was My 2015, last year it was My 2016. This is a positivity project which involves writing all of the positive things I have done/achieved over the course of a year onto bits of paper and putting them into a box which is opened up once the year is over. A few days ago, I opened up the My 2016 box and read through all of the amazing things I did last year. It astonished me to recall just how much I had achieved in just twelve months, and that it took me over two hours to go through it all! In case the colours below confuse you, I recorded all of the things I achieved related to my time in France on the WHITE papers to the right, and the other life things were written on the COLOURED paper to the right
